What do you like most about this provider?: She is very laid back and has great behavior management skills, a MUST for my son. If a therapist can't control him, then they can't teach him and Rebecca Shmukler, OTR is amazing. She's extremely knowledgable, great at explaining things to me, and really uses a family approach. One session, she had a cooking activity planned for my son but my dishes were piled up in my sink. So, she had my son do the dishes with her before the cooking activity. He got more practice at bilateral coordination, sequencing, and sensory exposure, as well as self-esteem boost in feeling like a big helper... and I got clean dishes! Rebecca always has activities planned that my son WANTS to do and has strategies planned for when he's not in the most cooperative mood.What would you most like improved in this practice?: Honestly, there's nothing I could improve about Rebecca's performance. She does have two other OTs and 2 SLPs in her practice that I have not yet used and so I can't state whether or not there's need for improvement there, but Rebecca is the owner of Dynamic Therapy and does outstanding work both as a therapist and administrator.
